Distant Messages
With the new release titled “Distant Messages” from Universal Production Music, requires a visualization to accompany such an ethereal and galactic track.
The Goal
The goal was to create a fascinating visualization of one of the new musical releases from the Universal Production Music studio. The animation visually interprets the music while introduces the name of the release.
Process
Step One: Music Track
The first step in the process was thinking about the music track I was going to pick to make the visuals for. I really like atmospheric and synth driven music, so I was naturally drawn to the track “Distant Messages.”
Step Two: Visualization
The sounds on the track are very spacey and full of synths. It gives the feeling of drifting through space and heavenly bodies. There will be a few shots flying through space and tracking out of planets. There were also panning shots of spaceships floating around, just very slow and cinematic. Basically that is what I saw in my head and so I designed and animated this animation.
Step Three: The Final
After I got everything that the client wanted in the brief, I put together the final version. Here is the finished product!
